Who we are
Hijrah Plan, and the Hijrah Plan Community inside it, are run by Make Hijrah. The business is Make Hijrah, Group 73, Building 8, Suite 54, Madinaty, New Cairo, Egypt. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
Only what the product needs to work. It depends on what you use.
- Your account: your email address, the name you give us, and the sign-in codes we send you. There are no passwords.
- Your Plan: the answers you give in the Plan, your checklist, budget and documents list. These are yours and are kept so you can come back to them.
- The community: your profile (display name, whether you join the brothers or sisters community, where you are in your journey, where you live now, the languages you speak, an optional photo), your messages, forum posts, questions, event sign-ups, and what you save for later.
- Sisters' applications: the written and voice answers a sister gives when she applies. Only the mentors who review applications can open them.
- Payments: your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers. We keep the fact that you paid, the amount and the date.
- What you open and tap: see the next section.
What the community records about how you use it
To see which parts of the community help people and which do not, we record the pages you open, the buttons and features you use, the kind of device you use, whether you opened it as an installed app, and the words you search for (the first 40 characters). We do not record the text of your messages or your email address in this record.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we record nothing. The record is kept while your account exists and is deleted when your account is deleted.
Why we use it
- To run your account and give you the Plan and the community you asked for.
- To take payment and keep a record of it.
- To send you the messages the service needs: sign-in codes, replies to your questions, session reminders and community notices. We do not send advertising from this service.
- To keep the community safe: mentors can see reports and remove content that breaks the community guidelines.
- To improve the product from the usage record above.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of companies to run the service. They process data for us and for no one else's advertising.
- Supabase: our database and sign-in. Data is stored in Ireland (the EU West region).
- Cloudflare: hosting and delivery of the site.
- Stripe: card payments.
- Mandrill (Mailchimp Transactional): sending our emails.
- YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) and Vimeo: playing videos. They may set their own cookies when a video is played.
- Fontshare: one of our typefaces is loaded from their servers, so they see your IP address when a page loads.
- flagcdn.com: country flag pictures, loaded from their servers.
Who can see what
The people who run the community can see your profile and what you post. Your checklist, budget and review list are private to you. The brothers' and sisters' communities are kept apart, and a brother cannot search for or open a sister's profile.
We do not sell your data.
Your choices and rights
- You can change your profile at any time under Your profile and privacy.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [email protected].
- You can delete your account. Ask in the community or by email. Deleting it removes your account, profile, messages, activity record and application, except where a running paid subscription must be cancelled first.
- If the law where you live gives you more rights (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), you have them. Email us and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

We will update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top shows the last change. This page was last updated on 23 October 2026.
